Steve began working as a production tech while still in high school. Since then, he has earned a reputation as an expert on every aspect of large-scale, live event production.
After receiving his bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Louisiana State University, he rose to become the Production Supervisor for the Louisiana Superdome and New Orleans Arena (known today as the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and the Smoothie King Center).
For nearly a decade, Steve managed events and led installation projects at both of the city’s major league sports facilities. He oversaw the production of numerous large-scale events including concerts, Super Bowls, NBA All-Star Weekend, the NCAA Final Four, and Disney’s Hunchback of Notre Dame world premiere.
As a Co-Founder/Partner at Solomon Group, Steve manages events and projects for clients that include ESSENCE Festival, College Football Playoff, U.S. Coast Guard, Entergy Corporation and FIRST. However, nearly all of Solomon Group’s engagements benefit in some way from Steve’s extensive technical knowledge.
He is an expert in the fields of professional video, audio, lighting, television production and large-scale display systems. With years of experience working some of the country’s largest events, Steve has become a well-known authority in the event production and technology industries.
