Solomon Group was founded in New Orleans, Louisiana by Gary Solomon Jr., Jonathan Foucheaux and Stephen Fink. With their respective backgrounds in theatre and lighting, entertainment technology and live arena productions, the three partners intended to create the type of company that seemed to be missing across their collective industries.
In 2009 they began building a full-service entertainment design and production firm capable of competing for projects on a national level.
Early on, the partners focused on producing groundbreaking live events and multimedia installations. Soon they were delivering newsworthy projects for high-profile attractions such as The National WWII Museum and the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. In 2011, Solomon Group acquired the assets and business of 22-year old Express Productions, Inc., which dramatically increased the company’s equipment inventory and in-house capabilities.
With its own production and scenic fabrication facility, Solomon Group was better positioned to serve the kinds of stunning, large-scale events and attractions that the partners had originally envisioned. The company expanded rapidly, and began regularly traveling around the country to create larger and more complex productions.
Since 2012, Solomon Group has acquired a beautiful office headquarters in downtown New Orleans, moved to a larger production and fabrication facility, invested heavily in the latest equipment, grown its fleet of trucks and opened The Print Shop at Solomon Group.
Today, the company offers all of the essential services under one roof needed to create spectacular live events, brand activations, themed attractions, broadcast environments and architainment projects for a broad range of industries.
In 2014 and 2015, Solomon Group was listed on the Inc. 5000 as one of America’s fastest-growing private companies and was named one of the nation’s Top Media Companies on the prestigious list.
What began with just the three partners and two employees has grown into a company with over 160 full-time and part-time staff members. Gary, Jonathan and Steve have crafted the entire organization around making the impossible look easy.
