The National World War II Museum: Solomon Group to Project Manage Latest Immersive Experience
June 5, 2012
Another mission from the National WWII Museum... and we choose to accept it!
Ever wonder what it’s like to survive a submarine battle? Well, bring 26 of your closest friends to the National WWII Museum next year and find out.
We’re proud to continue our relationship with the National WWII Museum by joining the team of their latest attraction: “Final Mission: The USS Tang Submarine Experience.” Promising an interactive experience in which visitors will man the positions and perform the battle actions of actual crewmembers, it joins Beyond All Boundaries as the museum’s latest endeavor to creative immersive, interactive attractions that keep WWII relevant for generations of museum goers.
With six projectors projecting 360 degrees of HD content, a 36 channel immersive soundscape, and 16 computers to generate all of the imagery and manage the experience, it will be one of the Gulf South’s most technically complicated attractions and we’re honored to be the experience’s project managers and technical directors, having a similar role in the technical support and maintenance the museum's signature experience, of Beyond All Boundaries.
In addition to our work on Beyond All Boundaries, we consulted on the creation of The Stage Door Canteen, the museum’s live performance space, created and produced its first live show, Let Freedom Swing, and created and produced a documentary featuring Angela Lansbury and Branford Marsalis on the original Stage Door Canteens that runs daily in the space.
