Solomon Group chosen by ESSENCE Communications to produce the 2013 ESSENCE Festival.
The 19th Annual ESSENCE Festival kicks off on July 4, 2013 in the Crescent City, and for the first time, Solomon Group will serve as the event’s signature Production Services provider.
“We’re thrilled to be partners with ESSENCE Communications on this amazing event,” says Gary Solomon Jr., President of Solomon Group. “We’ve worked with them in the past on the Empowerment Experience, and we are so happy to have the Solomon Group team behind the effort to produce the entire event. They are a first-class organization, and we’re excited about a number of improvements we’ve made to ensure that ESSENCE offers its audience a truly unforgettable experience.”
In addition to the uplifting seminars and activities that take place at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center during the day, and three nights of concerts at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, ESSENCE Fest is offering something new this year. The event’s first-ever Family Reunion Day will be held on Thursday, July 4 at Woldenberg Park, a free event of entertainment and activities for families.
As the official Production Services provider of ESSENCE Festival, Solomon Group is working closely with ESSENCE Communications to produce one of the largest, annual events in North America. This year, nearly 475,000 visitors are expected to descend upon New Orleans to attend the event.
“For eleven and a half months of the year, ESSENCE lives within the pages of its magazine,” says Solomon. “But for one week in New Orleans, Solomon Group’s team of specialists will weave its magic to bring the ESSENCE brand to life.”
